AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting their third child via a surrogate, and they will stop at nothing to ensure the safety of the woman along with their unborn child. According to a new report from The Sun, the famous couple has spent nearly $2 million on security for their surrogate and has moved the woman into a "safehouse" in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
Kim and Kanye reportedly have also provided "state-of-the-art security equipment." An insider revealed to the publication, "Kim and Kanye have rented a place about an hour outside L.A. in a very nondescript suburb in a middle-class neighborhood for their surrogate," before adding, "I mean, this is the last place you would think to find the surrogate for one of the richest families in Hollywood."
The insider continued, "It's a nice house, actually, split level, and Kanye has cameras put in everywhere in the house and outside too for safety and security - these are state of the art." The site claimed the woman "will be surrounded by security staff and even has her own driver to ensure she isn't hassled while out and about." Citing the source, the site said, "There are six security guards on rotation duties, for nine months."
"They have rented four different cars, and the surrogate has a driver. So with the rent on the house, expenses for the security staff and their wages - that's around $1.5 million for the surrogate's safety," the source explained, adding, "But of course, it's worth it - they want the best for her and their unborn baby."
Kim and Kanye are already parents to 4-year-old daughter North and nearly-2-year-old son Saint. It was reported back in June that Kim and her rapper husband opted for surrogacy to carry another child, as the 36-year-old reality TV star could not carry her own baby anymore after she had health complications during her first two pregnancies.
