Titled 'Shave the Date', the minute-long teaser features a raunchy comedy sequence involving the shaving of Trooper Rabbit by his fellow Vermont State Troopers.

AceShowbiz - Fox Searchlight has released the first teaser trailer for "Super Troopers 2" for fans' viewing pleasure. The red-band teaser reunites the Broken Lizard troops that include Jay Chandrasekhar as Trooper Thorny, Kevin Heffernan as Farva, Steve Lemme as Mac, Paul Soter as Foster, and Erik Stolhanske as Rabbit.

Though it doesn't give any plot points, the minute-long video titled "Shave the Date" features a raunchy comedy sequence involving the shaving of Rabbit by his fellow Vermont State Troopers. There is also a scene featuring Jim Gaffigan's character, the same guy who was harassed with the meow game when he was pulled over in the 2001 original "Super Troopers".

"Super Troopers 2" is scheduled to open in theaters across the nation on April 20 next year. It's clear from the teaser that the sequel will be rated "R," like its predecessor which came out 17 years ago. Earlier this month, it was announced that the post-production had wrapped after finishing with rock band Eagles of Death Metal.

Written once again by the Broken Lizard troops, the long-awaited sequel also sees the return of Jay as director. Additional reprisals in the film include Lynda Carter as Vermont Governor Jessman, Marisa Coughlan as Officer Ursula Hanson, and Brian Cox as Captain John O'Hagen. Meanwhile, newcomers to the follow-up to the classic cult include Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tyler Labine, Hayes MacArthur, Will Sasso and Rob Lowe.

Everyone's favorite law enforcement team is back by popular demand with the long anticipated follow up to the cult comedy classic "Super Troopers". When an international border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers -- Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva -- are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the disputed area. Unconventional police work follows, and the result is... "Super Troopers 2".
