The Latin singer thinks that it's okay for Justin to refuse singing the song on his tour, saying, 'I don't think we have to be so strict.'

AceShowbiz - Well, this is unexpected. While Justin Bieber is facing backlash after he refused to sing Latin hit song "Despacito", his collaborator on the song Luis Fonsi has come to his defense. In a recent interview on ABC News radio, the Puerto Rican singer claimed that he didn't blame Justin for forgetting the track's Spanish lyrics.

"I don't blame him not knowing [the lyrics], and I think we have to give him a little bit of a pass because that's not his main language," Luis shared. "We can't expect the guy to just out of the blue get it perfectly."

The 39-year-old singer also claimed that Justin "had the lyrics in front of him" while recording the song. "He had a chance to record the chorus in English. We had a full English lyrics, and he decided to take the time to record it in Spanish because he wanted to keep the originality of the song," he added.

Instead of feeling disrespected by Justin's action, Luis apparently supported the Canadian singer's decision not to sing the song on his tour. "So I actually applaud the fact that he took the time in the recording studio to do it, and he did a great job. He's on tour. He's concentrating on his music. I don't think we have to be so strict," he explained.
