The 57-year-old producer is reportedly plotting a brand new spin off for the ITV singing competition show.

AceShowbiz - There may be a brand new spin off in the works for "The X Factor". Rumor has it, Simon Cowell and producers of the singing competition show are working on a premise for a show that would follow rejects from "The X Factor".

According to sources, the producers are plotting a brand new spin off for the unsuccessful "X Factor" auditionees. The series is reportedly dedicated to the best of the worst singers. The rejects will face off against each other as they attempt to improve their skills.

After weeks of coaching, the one who improves the most at the end of the series will be crowned as the winner. Bradley Walsh is rumored to be in talks to host the brand new series.

A source told The Sun, "It has always been the bad auditions that get everyone talking on 'X Factor' each year. And another thing people love to watch on TV is people undergoing huge transformations - like on Davina McCall's show 'This Time Next Year'."

"Now ITV will combine these two things as they launch a new show which sees awful singers transform into superstar performers — or that's what they're hoping," the source adds, "It's sure to be a great laugh but also heart-warming to see some amazing transformations."

"The X Factor" is set to return this fall with judges Simon, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
