AceShowbiz - "The Vampire Diaries" is coming to an end. The show officially finished filming for its series finale in Atlanta on Wednesday, February 8. Series co-creators and some of the cast members then took to social media to share some of their final moments on the set.
Showrunner Julie Plec posted on Twitter a picture of an epic cake with "IT'S A WRAP! #TVDForever" written on it. "Holy Vampire Cake! #tvdforever #TVDFamily," Plec captioned the photo.

Paul Wesley, the actor who portrays Stevan Salvatore, shared an image of him with co-creator Kevin Williamson and wrote, "Me and K dubs." Both Wesley and Williamson looked somber in the picture.

Meanwhile, Matthew Davis, the actor who stars as Alaric Saltzman, wrote on Twitter, "Well, kids... That's a wrap for Alaric!" He said, "Thank you for supporting us along this crazy journey. It's been a real honor. I love you all!"

Candice King, the actress who plays Caroline Forbes, got all 21st century with her farewell by posting a Boomerang video noting that it was the last day of filming along with the hashtag "tvdforever."
Elsewhere, Nina Dobrev, who returns as Elena Gilbert in the series finale, posted on Twitter a picture of her and fans on the last day of filming on set. "Thank you for standing outside in the cold all day, but more than that for watching, loving and supporting us for the past 8 years #TVDForever," she captioned the picture.

"The Vampire Diaries" series finale titled "I Was Feeling Epic" will air on Friday, March 10 at 8 P.M. ET on The CW.
