In the movie, Hiddleston sings all of Williams' songs with his own voice. He studied with Grammy winner Rodney Crowell for months to approach Williams' signature sound. "Every note, every line, everything is Tom," director Marc Abraham said back in August. "He's crazy talented. If you didn't like him, you'd be jealous of him."
"I Saw the Light" follows Williams from his rapid rise to fame through his struggles with substance abuse and his complicated relationship with his wife. Abraham also wrote the script and produces the movie alongside Aaron L. Gilbert, Brett Ratner and G. Marq Rosell. The biopic will have a limited release in the U.S. on November 27.
