AceShowbiz - The first images from "Point Break" remake are unleashed on Twitter. Edgar Ramirez is seen surfing in one picture and Luke Bracey is running in another still. The movie's footage was also shown at CinemaCon, showing some extreme sports including skydiving.

Ramirez replaces Gerard Butler who was initially set to play charismatic surfer Bodhi made famous by the late Patrick Swayze in the original movie directed by Kathryn Bigelow, while Bracey is going to portray Johnny Utah, a hotshot FBI agent originally played by Keanu Reeves.

"Invincible" helmer Ericson Core sits behind the lens, and Kurt Wimmer writes the screenplay. Supported by Teresa Palmer and Ray Winstone, the revamped version is scheduled to hit theaters Stateside on December 25 this year.
