'Boardwalk Empire' Actor Jack Huston in Talks for 'The Crow' Remake

Jack Huston reportedly enters negotiations to play the role of Eric Draven who was previously set to be portrayed by Luke Evans.

AceShowbiz - Jack Huston is reportedly eyed to headline "The Crow" remake. Deadline learns that the "Boardwalk Empire" actor is in early talks to replace "Dracula Untold" actor Luke Evans who was previously attached to the long-gestating project.

Based on James O'Barr's 1989 comic book of the same name, the film centers on Eric Draven, a murdered rock star who is brought to life by supernatural bird crow to avenge his murder and that of his fiancee. The original movie was released in 1994 with Brandon Lee as the lead star.

Evans previously said he left the movie to pursue other projects. "I'm sure it's going to go ahead at some point, but I have other projects that are greenlit and ready to go and projects that I'm very interested in and you know, I can't wait much longer! [laughs]."

Jack Huston who was once rumored to play Star-Lord in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" will next be seen in "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies". He has also landed lead role in "Ben-Hur".
