A duo consisting of husband and wife, Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae, says in a statement that their song 'Pay Day' is used without permission in the comedy starring James Franco and Seth Rogen.

AceShowbiz - "The Interview" has apparently faced a new problem. Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae, South Korean rappers who are also husband and wife, have threatened legal action, alleging that they never gave consent to the use of their song "Pay Day" in the comedy starring Seth Rogen and James Franco.

The South Korean stars at first were in negotiations to license the track, but they said the two parties never reached an agreement. They learned that a snippet of the song was used in the movie after it made its way out online. They now are planning to sue DFSB, an agency which handled the talk with Sony.

"There were initial discussions about including the song in the film score, but negotiations stopped so we were under the impression that it wasn't happening," read a statement from the duo's company FeelGhoodMusic, as quoted by THR. "It was only after the film was released that we became aware of the song's unauthorized use, without taking the appropriate and necessary steps to complete a contract with the artists."

"The artists were also hesitant about authorizing the use of the music, as the film is a very sensitive topic in Korea, so they are very surprised," a representative for the agency added.

"The Interview", which focuses on two TV journalists who are sent to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, was released in select theaters and digitally after a group of hackers threatened to attack theaters. On Sunday, Sony said the movie earned $15 million over the first four days from digital release.
