In a statement about her separation from husband Russell Armstrong, the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star says it was a difficult decision, but is 'in the best interest of our family'.

AceShowbiz - Another star from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" is going to be a divorcee. Taylor Armstrong recently announced that she has filed for divorce from husband Russell Armstrong, and TMZ reported that she will request for joint legal and primary physical custody of 5-year-old daughter.

While it is further claimed that Taylor will also ask for spousal and child support, the 39-year-old reality star herself didn't share any details when dishing on her separation from Russell. In a statement to PEOPLE, she shared, "It was a difficult decision but I have decided to file for divorce from Russell."

"Although we have tried our best to work out our differences, I have come to the conclusion that it is in the best interest of our family that we separate," she continued. "Together we are the proud parents of a sweet and wonderful little girl and she remains my number one priority. I am sad for my marriage to come to an end, but am confident that this is the right choice for all involved."

Confirmation of the split came just months after Taylor and Russell denied they have separated back in May. At the time, a source close to the estranged couple said, "They've gone through therapy and they have issues within their marriage that they're actively working on, but they're both really committed to making their marriage work."

Taylor and Russell were married in 2005. They have a daughter named Kennedy together. According to TMZ, they have no prenup.
