AceShowbiz - Focus Features has released the first still from "One Day" via USA Today. It gives a look at on-screen couple, Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, who are sitting next to each other and sharing smiles while holding a glass of wine each.
In the movie, Hathaway portrays Emma, a working-class girl of principle and ambition who dreams of making the world a better place. Sturgess' character, Dexter, is quite a contrary as he is a spoiled rich boy with a knack for witty repartee.
The story will revolve around the couple, who first met at a University of Edinburgh graduation in 1988, and their relationship over 20 years. Despite knowing their love for each other, they only meet once a year, on July 15 or St. Swithin's Day which is to predicting rainfall in England what Groundhog Day is to estimating winter's duration.
Production of "One Day" has just been wrapped a little over a week ago with filming locations including Scotland, England and France. "It's like 20 small films put together," director Lone Scherfig shared.
No release date has been set for this romantic comedy.
