Two pictures are uncovered to reveal the new cast of "The Vampire Diaries". Fans of the show will get to see Arielle Kebbel of "Gilmore Girls" playing Stefan's "oldest and best vampire friend" named Lexi in the October 29 episode.

On his birthday, Stefan is surprised by a visit from Lexi, one of his oldest friends. Still upset by the events at the Halloween haunted house, Elena does her best to stay away from Stefan, but Lexi gives her some unsolicited relationship advice.

The other photo released in courtesy of LilMissX displays actor Matthew Davis on the set of the vampire series. He will take the role of Alaric Saltzman, the new football coach of Mystic Falls High replacing the last one who died out of Damon's attack. The casting crew were specifically looking for "hot" actor when they announced the call. Alaric's first appearance will be on the November 12 episode.
