One doctor will be saying goodbye to "" before season 6 ends. According to EW, will end her run as Dr. Allison Cameron this mid-season. The actress who has played the character since the medical drama debuted in 2004 has reportedly shot her last scene earlier this week.

Being the first of the original cast members to depart, Morrison didn't quit on her job, rather her exit was a creative decision that came from the show's producers. Her character won't be killed off like 's Kutner and her on-screen husband 's Chase is staying at Princeton-Plainsboro, leaving door open for her to make a guest appearance later in the season. Her final episode will air in November.

On the possible reason of Cameron's departure, E! Online reported insiders have spilled that actually both Chase and Cameron make the decision to get out of Princeton after he "treads a thin moral line on a case involving an African dictator". But, House gets involved and starts talking to Chase about Cameron. The talk follows with Chase having an inexplicable change of heart and deciding to stay with House. It upsets Cameron.

"House M.D." officially kicked off its sixth season on Monday, September 21 with two episodes straight away. The third episode to the season, "Epic Fail", airs on Monday, September 28. So far, no word has been shared by either FOX or Morrison on the report of her exit.

The medical story lines (especially the diagnostics) have certainly taken a back seat to what I will term the peculiarities of the House character. House, MD was a very strong show in its first few seasons. Lately, however, there's a concentration on House's craziness: Poking his nose in co-worker personal relationships, involving himself in Wilson's family life, spewing barbs that are downright nasty about superiors and subordinates. A little of that goes a long way in my opinion and there's no need to make such behavior the focus of the show. It's a lot like what happened to the Monk character on that show. Monk's odd behavior in the beginning of that series was not only entertaining, but it also lent insight into HOW he thinks and solves cases. The odd behavior was perfectly foiled by his assistant (the Sharona character) and it wasn't always obvious how the show would go, although you knew that the case would be solved. After the departure of the Sharona character, all the supporting cast seem to be enablers, who are cast solely to "set up" the very predictable and inane behavior of the Monk character. It's all about his goofiness now. Same with the House, MD show in my opinion. What head of hospital behaves like the Cuddy character? What Doctor would tolerate the crazy behavior as Wilson, Foreman and the others do? Why has House become a "goofy" character? Medically, he's not solving medical mysteries as much as he's throwing out ideas of what a patient might be suffering. It's like garbage in, garbage out until they hit on a treatment that works (or until some moment of insight occurs). As for Cameron, I just see this as another move to surround the House character with more enablers.

I will still watch House regardless of whether Cameron is on it or not. I have watched House since day one and I do feel it has gone down hill since they ditched the original team and brought on Taub, 13 and Kutner but I still watch it. The show is so much better with the original team though! I hope Cameron is not gone for long and I hope they get rid of 13.

So as I read these comments, I realize just how retarded fans can get. I've been watching House since day one, and I absolutely love it... Of course at the end of season three when I found out that the original team (minus House) wasn't going to be working together anymore, I was pissy about it just like every other fan. But oh well, IT'S A SHOW! You always have to allow for new creativity in a series. Was I happy with the new team half through season four? Not terribly. Was I going to stop watching, no; because good things CAN happen... Like the most recent episode(s). Finally, in what seems to have been a long while (in my opinion at least), we've gotten a few episodes with medical mysteries, like back in the first few season. Believe me, I love character development, but with the new team, they were focusing on that element way too much (again, in my opinion). Now, I love Jennifer Morrison just as much as any House fan... But I really doubt that she will be gone for good. She is a key element, and that's why the actress didn't quit... The writers are writing her character's leaving into the story; and I'm sure we will see plenty of cameos from Dr. Cameron. Remember people, the show is called House M.d., not Cameron M.d.; Foreman M.d.; Chase M.d.; Wilson M.d.; or 13 M.d.. Okay... I'm done ranting now. Sorry to those whom I'm sure I will have offended. Lolz

Although the show is called "House," if not for characters like Cameron, the show would not be the sucess it is AND without her it will not be as good. Lately the show is simply not as interesting as previously and the powers that be seem to think to make it better is to make House more of an a**. When Cameron is gone, I will have even one more reason not to watch it.

YOU GUYS ARE IDIOTS! THE SHOW WON'T BE RUINED IF ONE PERSON LEAVES! TRUE, WE WILL MISS HER, BUT DO YOU HAVE TO THROW INSULTS AT THE WRITERS AND DITCH THE SHOW?! SHE MAY COME BACK!

IF YOU ONLY WATCH THE SHOW FOR ONE CHARACTER THEN CRITICIZE THE SHOW WHEN SHE LEAVES, THEN YOU'RE NOT A TRUE FAN AND YOU CAN JUST SHOVE IT!!!!

I am from Trinidad and Tobago and I love this show. Cameron is a much more worthy character than 13. Get rid of 13, leave Cameron.

Blah Blah Blah! People, the show is called HOUSE. Not Cameron MD! If you strictly watched the show for her than go rent some of her movies. And I'm sure she isn't getting "screwed" over. Did you ever think maybe she was crappy to work with? And I also heard they are bringing a previous female character. So maybe you all could expand your mind and watch the show for the right reasons instead of watching it for just Cameron.

This is such a stupid decision. The show gets dumber and dumber. I used to like the show for all six characters. Now I only like Cameron and Wilson. And Wilson alone is not enough to keep me watching. Jennifer Morrison's last episode will be my last too. I won't stick around to be as bored as I was tonight.

Oh get over yourselves! People come and go; that's how the real world works and there's no reason a TV show should be any different. I like Cameron; she was always a moral compass, and I do enjoy the original team to the new team, but to say this will kill the show is being over-the-top dramatic! Every last one of you claiming you will stop watching will still be there at the end of the season, because you know you like the show for more than just one character.

With cameron gone i'm done. David Shore, good riddance. Your show has just gone down the toilet. No one like the new people - and it can only mean failure from now on. I hope Jen is ok and has many more roles where she is not screwed over further like this.

She has moral, which adds a nice touch to tv these days. I think she hould stay. Either way I'm still watching.

wow that's so upsetting. Cameron has always had that thing for the show well-being, I mean we liked her and still do. And now as she's gone.. I mean I barely got through the pilot episode of the season 6, and now this. phew

lets just say the moment Jens not on anymore I won't watch one episode of the show. I love it, really but this could be their downfall. And at least the producers would deserve it. ♥ Jen
