David Archuleta won big at the 11th Annual Teen Choice Awards. The winner of "American Idol" season seven who didn't attend the event brought home three surfboards in music field, dominating the music winners list.
David's single "Crush" was named Choice Music Love Song, beating Beyonce Knowles' "Halo", Jonas Brothers' "Lovebug", Jesse McCartney's "How Do You Sleep?" and Taylor Swift's "Love Story". Another prize, Choice Music Tour, was gained by David from his joint tour with Demi Lovato.
Completing his triple victories, David got Choice Music Breakout Artist. He won the title after facing off such heavy contenders as David Cook, Kid Cudi, Lady GaGa and Asher Roth.
Following David Archuleta's domination at the awards were Miley Cyrus, Beyonce Knowles, Jason Mraz, Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers and Paramore who grabbed two kudos each. Meanwhile, musicians who managed to snatch one gong included Lady GaGa, Kanye West and Black Eyed Peas.
2009 Teen Choice Awards was held at Universal Studios Hollywood's Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. This event will be aired on August 10 at 8 P.M. Eastern on FOX. Britney Spears was honored with Ultimate Choice Award for her success, talent and extraordinary contributions to the music industry.
Performances at the event came from Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, Sean Kingston and Jonas Brothers. In addition to singing, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas also hosted the show.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG YOU PEOPLE?!?! it is completely beyond me that Green Day did not win any of the 3 awards they were nominated for. It blows my mind even more when i look at who they lost 2! first of all, paramour sucks. also people only voted for paramour because they made that song for the twilight movie. i love twilight, but that song just sucked in general. Also how the hell did green day lose for best cd to THE JONAS BROTHERS!!! r u friggin kidding me?? green day's 21st century breakdown cd is probably one of the best cd's of the year, and i am not the only person who thinks so. rolling stone rated in 4.5 out of 5 stars! the only reason the jonas brothers won is because they r hosting the show and all their little fans made sure to vote for them cuz they're sooooo cuteeee! <note the sarcasm... anyway i think that fact that a well established band like green day lost to a couple of tv personalities like the jonas brothers is a disgrace to REAL music fans everywhere. maybe the jonas brothers should stop makin crappy disney shows and concentrate more on making good music.

Yes!!! I'm so happy for David for winning all three awards. He has such talent. If you guys haven't heard of him, check him out on youtube. His live performances are so amazing and much better than his recorded versions. He changes his songs at will and with ease. By the way, he's not 11...he's 18 and also he doesn't sound like the Disney types. His voice is much more mature and seasoned. David also happens to be the real deal. Nothing about him is fake or rehearsed. He's a kind, thoughtful, generous person. David inspires people through his music and his behavior. The music industry could use a few more people like him. :)

Went to a Demi concert, came out LOVING David Archuleta, voted for him at TCAs, and SO glad he won! He's cute (srsly Aceshowbiz get a picture that's not 2 years old, ok????) and a real hottie on stage -and wow -amazing singing. Get to know him people!!!
Congratulations David A. You are amazing and such a cutie and adorable with a beautiful voice. I went to 3 of his concerts and there is nothing like it. I would go every week if I could if not more. That is why he wasn't at the TCA's when they taped last night because he was doing a concert..He has been touring since he won AI it seems..overseas and here in the U.S. And he is starting another tour to promote a Christmas album he is doing...then another album next year....If you don't know him maybe you are familiar with his song CRUSH.....it sold like 1.8 million. I would have given anything if he could have been there to accept his awards. He so deserves everyone.....TCA nominates the people for these awards and the fans vote for them.
