'The Hills' Minus Lauren Conrad Gets Premiere Date

MTV has made the attempt to announce the premiere date of "The Hills" which is no longer featuring its leading star, Lauren Conrad. The reality show, coming to its season 5.5, is set to return on small screen September 29 at 10/9c.

Most of the show's regulars such as Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth, Heidi Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt are in, so is the new face Kristin Cavallari. This addition is expected to give a conflict into the whole story. "I've seen a little, but honestly, she came in like a whirlwind ever since the first day at the wedding, the Speidi wedding," Heidi's sister Holly Montag said about Kristin.

Audrina herself has expressed her dislike for Kristin back in May, telling Ryan Seacrest "When someone gets in my face, I have to defend myself. And, you guys, I mean, I can't say much. They'll show it, but I mean, all I have to say is, it's really pathetic and desperate what people will do when the cameras are around."

One person who got her back though is Spencer. "There wouldn't be a 'Hills' if there wasn't a Kristin Cavallari, because the 'Laguna Beach' brand wouldn't have had the power," he gushed. "We still love Lauren, we'd love to have you come back on the show. But hey, you were the calm, quiet girl trying to steal Kristin's boyfriend, the cool girl at the high school. So shout-out to the cool girl joining 'The Hills'!"
