The divorce has been resolved and so Reese Witherspoon and her former husband Ryan Phillippe could feel relieved. The used-to-be husband and wife have resolved the remaining issues of their split, it has been reported.
Court papers filed Thursday, June 12 in L.A. Superior Court showed the pair, who separated back in 2006, had reached an agreement on finances and custody of their two children. "[The court finds] the parties have settled all their remaining issues in these proceedings," the documents read. Details weren't immediately available though.
Reese, an Oscar-winning actress, and Ryan tied the knot on June 5, 1999. On October 30, 2006, the couple announced that they decided to formally separate after seven years of marriage. She later on filed for divorce on November 8 last year, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple have two children, son Deacon Phillippe and daughter Ava Elizabeth Phillippe.
On October 5, 2007 the estranged couple had their divorce finalized. And following their separation, each of them currently is on a date. Reese dates actor Jake Gyllenhaal, whereas Ryan dates Aussie actress Abbie Cornish.
