DBZ was the best cartoon and still is. some people are saying that the movie's going to be crap but no one has seen anything apart from a couple of still photos which reveal basically nothing. so, instead of bagging it before you've seen the trailer hav some faith that the movie will deliver...which it will.
posted by can\'t wait on Sep 26, 2008
This is a complete disgrace. This is purely aimed for those people who have never actually seen DBZ or its predecessor and are just after an ordinary action flick. This movie will completely destroy the complete DB saga and any meaning it ever had. Also....why the f*** is piccolo not green? They could've at least put more effort into maintaining as much accuracy as possible.
posted by iggy on Sep 26, 2008
I was so excited that they were making a Dragonball movie but now... Now I'm a little concerned. Piccolo isn't green? Bulma's hair isn't blue? What are they trying to do?! They better not screw this up or I'm going to be royaly pissed!
posted by massagegirl37 on Sep 26, 2008
This movie looks terrible. piccolo looks like a vampire. dragon ball can never go live-action, they have a better chance making a live-action pokemon movie (not really), why couldn't they just make another animated movie to add to the already huge stack of DB movies, or maybe like a 3-D dragon ball movie like the video game graphics(but better), so much people are gonna watch this in the theaters and be disappointed, i'm just congratulating them for attempting to transform DB into live-action, its going to be hilarious to see this in the theaters (unless i watch it online first).

I think they are doing a great job with the movie so far from what I seen in the bootleg trailer. Well thats all I can think of for now if I can think of anything else I'll add it. Peace

I think everyone is missing the point. “not close enough to the original cartoon”?? i dont want to watch a live action movie that’s exactly like the cartoon. then it would be for kids, rated G - just like the cartoon! that’s gay as hell!!! no one would want to see that. who wants to watch roshi as an old hunched over man with a turtle on his back. CHEESY!!! I think they definitely did a good job putting more realistic (if that’s even the word for it) touch on it. more for an older crowd. im pumped to see this film.

True fans of such a light-hearted show wouldn't run around snarling and foaming over this little adaptation. You have to look at a movie as a director's piece of art, not a photocopy. ok 1. i believe this will be a very interesting movie. 2. all you little whiny nerds thinking your big and bad making smart ass remarks about a movie (THAT ISN'T EVEN OUT YET) without understanding what the director is trying to create are freaking morons that has such a fucked up life you need some other form of venting out your nonsense. Even BEFORE they started filming this movie they warned people that it is a REINTERPRETATION! It IS NOT going to be exactly like the anime. Why make it exactly the same where you already know what happens. Its basically like a "different DB universe". And to you people that read the "script"....ummm you do realize that they have made changes during the progression of filming. I understand having opinions about upcoming movies....but if all your going to do is whine and complain about redundant crap, then save all the reasonable people's sanity and IQ and can it please! Watch it first....then bi*ch.

posted by vania on Mar 17, 2009
Looks decent. But, sadly, they don't fallow any of the plot lines from the manga. It's basically a fan fiction that a scriptwriter made up and was lucky to be put into a movie. Even, from what I heard, Japan gives it bad reviews. I think the only people who'll like this movie are the people who don't know what Dragonball is and have never seen the anime or read the manga. I'll be one of the many who will illegally download this crap, because i'm NOT giving Fox nor Hollywood my well earned money. Thank you Hollywood for messing up another Asian Masterpiece.
