Margaret Grace Denig, known professionally as Maggie Grace, is an accomplished American actress born on September 21, 1983, in Columbus, Ohio. Grace grew up in a supportive family, with her father, Rick Denig, and mother, Valinn (nee Everett), encouraging her early interests in the arts. She attended the prestigious Worthington High School before pursuing a career in acting. Her early work included a notable performance in the television movie Murder in Greenwich (2002), where she portrayed the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. In 2004, Grace landed the role of Shannon Rutherford in the ABC series Lost, which became a cultural phenomenon.
