Monroe Jackson Rathbone V, known professionally as Jackson Rathbone, is an American actor, singer, and musician who gained widespread recognition for his role as Jasper Hale in the immensely popular film series, Twilight. Born on December 21, 1984, in Singapore, Rathbone's early life was marked by a mix of cultures, as he spent his formative years in various locations due to his father's work in the military. His family eventually settled in Los Angeles, California, where Rathbone's interest in performing arts began to flourish.
Rathbone's foray into acting commenced in his teenage years, leading to his first significant role in the television series Beautiful People in 2005. This initial exposure paved the way for his breakout role in Twilight, which debuted in 2008. Portraying the brooding vampire Jasper Hale, Rathbone captured the attention of audiences around the world, becoming a prominent figure in the franchise that spanned five films, culminating in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 in 2012.
