Video Premiere: Il Divo's 'The Winner Takes It All (Va Todo Al Ganador)'
November 04, 2008 11:11:23A music video in accompaniment of Il Divo's cover of "The Winner Takes It All" has arrived. The video is shot during an event and features the vocal group's live on-stage performance.
"Winner Takes It All" is a 1980 song performed by Swedish pop group ABBA. The song, covered by Il Divo, is renamed "The Winner Takes It All (Va Todo Al Ganador)" and confirmed to appear on their new album "The Promise". Produced by Steve Mac, the effort will be released globally on November 10, except in the U.S. and Canada, where it is scheduled to be dropped on November 18, and in Japan on November 26.
Il Divo to Release Fourth Album

This upcoming album will be produced by Steve Mac, a producer and songwriter who has worked with such famous superstars as Ronan Keating, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, Simon Webbe, Kate Winslet, Melanie C, and Clay Aiken.
This album which hasn't been named yet will be their fourth studio album after their successful "Siempre", which has sold over 1 million copies since it has been released on November 21, 2006. Some of the tracks confirmed to be in the album are "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "Amazing Grace", and "Hallelujah".

After the competition yesterday, Idol "Gives Back" its 6 contestants for next week round. Nobody was going home during the charity week. Seemingly announcing the result Ryan Seacrest who was accompanied by Kelly Clarkson and Celine Dion said, "All your favorites are still in the competition. How could we let anyone go on a charity night?"
This week, the Fox production switched its regular contest program to a fundraising night whereby huge stars were hand in hand to help raise the number of votes. For each vote coming in last night, a dollar will go to poor and starving children in States and Africa.
Barbra Streisand Sets the Date for "Live in Concert 2006"

Barbra Streisand's 20-concerts tour in 2006 not only resulted in the high gross tickets but also added extra pennies to Streisand's pocket. Streisand: The Tour will be made in hard copies under the title "Live in Concert 2006".
The double disc album containing Streisand's 23 golden hits will be out on May 8 via Columbia Records. It will feature songs such as "Unusual Way", "Funny Girl", "People" as well as Streisand's collaboration with Il Divo in "Evergreen", "The Music of the Night" and "Somewhere".
"Idols Give Back" in Place of Success Gained by American Idol Show

To celebrate the show's 200th episode, American Idol will hold a two nights show called "Idol Gives Back". Performers such as Gwen Stefani, Pink, Sacha Baron Cohen, Bono, Michael Buble, Annie Lennox, Josh Groban and Il Divo have been tapped in support of the show.
Introduced by host Ryan Seacrest in the Result Show on March 9, the performances that will be aired on April 24th and 25th are conducted in benefit of children in US and Africa. Its basic concept is to relief the poverty by raising money from every vote via phone or text message that comes in. As sponsors, Coke and AT&T will donate the money to several organizations including UNICEF, Global Fund, Save the Children, Nothing but Nets, and Malaria No More.

This year Juno Awards, the Canada's version of the Grammys, sees the likes of Nelly Furtado, Billy Talent, and hip-hop artist k-os all vie for multiple nominations. Pop singer Nelly, who's been tapped to host the event on April 1st from Saskatoon, is nominated for the categories of Single of the Year for "Promiscuous", Juno Fan Choice, Album of the Year and Pop Album of the Year both for "Loose", and Artist of the Year.
Rock band Billy Talent, in the meantime, scores the nominations for Single of the Year and Video of the Year for "Devil In A Midnight Mass", Album of the Year and Rock Album of the Year both for "Billy Talent II", and Group of the Year. As of hip-hop artist k-os, he earns the nominations for Single of the Year for "Sunday Morning", Songwriter of the Year, Pop Album of the Year for "Atlantis: Hymns For Disco", Jack Richardson Producer of the Year, and Video of the Year.

Young Jeezy's sophomore album, "The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102", debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. pop album charts Wednesday Dec 20th, selling over 350,000 units in its first week. Thanks to its single "I Luv It" which has entered the Top 10 on the R&B charts and has a successful run in the video market that the LP could reach the top spot on the Billboard 200.
Debut at No. 2 on the chart is Taylor Hicks' self-titled album selling 298,000 copies. Fellow American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, in the meantime, has her LP "Some Hearts" scoring the 6th spot, with another 199,000 copies sold.

Debuting at No. 1 on the US album chart this week is Ciara. The pop sensation leads the pack in the busy album release week with "Ciara: The Evolution" sold 338,447 copies in the United States. The success of the album sales is jacked up by the success of its lead single, the ballad "Promise", which is currently at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Following in on the 2nd spot of the Billboard 200 is the Eminem-branded multi-artist compilation "Eminem Presents: The Re-Up" which has been sold 309,000 copies in the week ended Sunday Dec 10th. Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape" lands at No. 3 with 243,000 units. The chart's next best bows are the soundtrack to Disney's former chart-topper "Hannah Montana" at No. 4 with 243,000 units, ahead of the multi-label hits compilation "NOW 23" which slips one to No. 5 with 185,000.

Fans of Barbra Streisand, especially those in Toronto, will get a special treatment from the music veteran. The diva has added another show for her fanatics there that they who missed out on tickets for her Oct. 17 show can now try to catch her on Oct. 20.
Tickets for the special gig will go on sale beginning Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. ET with price ranging from $85 to $550. There will be a six ticket limit per person.

Il Divo Tapped as A Guest Act on Barbra's Fall Tour

The tickets for Barbra Streisand's upcoming U.S. tour went on sale on Monday June 12, during which organizers announced that the classical-pop vocal quartet Il Divo will join her on the road as a guest act.
The tour, which actually is a 20-date charity trek, is set to begin October 4 at Philadelphia's Wachovia Center and will run through the end of November.

Sitting on the runner up position is Mary J. Blige's "The Breakthrough," while Andrea Bocelli's "Amore" is at 3rd sold 113,000 copies.
Debut at 4th position is "Unpredictable" by Jamie Foxx, which slips one from last week's position. Meanwhile, R&B singer Heather Headley has her album "In My Mind" selling 95,000 copies to open at number five.
