Frank Sinatra's 'Nothing But The Best' CD Debuts at #2
May 23, 2008 08:05:27Frank Sinatra returns to the top of the charts with the release of "Nothing But The Best" (Reprise), which debuts at #2 on this week's Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Marking his highest chart position in nearly 15 years and his biggest one-week soundscan for a non-duet release, the album's chart success comes on the strength of a multi-faceted campaign that included partnerships with Warner Home Video, Turner Classic Movies, the United States Postal Service, MGM Home Entertainment, Hallmark, Sirius Satellite Radio to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sinatra's passing on May 14.
As the first initiative under the newly established Frank Sinatra Enterprises (FSE), a partnership between the Sinatra family and Warner Music Group, the campaign featured the release of all-new CD and DVD collections, a television film festival and specials, and the issuance of a commemorative stamp. The success of the album comes on the heels of high profile USPS stamp launch events in New York City, Las Vegas, and Hoboken, New Jersey, and a major press campaign. Additionally, May 13 was officially declared "Frank Sinatra Day" in a resolution presented by Representative Jose Serrano (D-NY) to Congress.

Another record post Luther Vandross' death will be released later this year. After 2006's 'The Ultimate Luther Vandross', a box set containing four-CD collection of his greatest hits, rare recordings and unreleased tracks will be dropped in October.
Among collaborators in the record called 'Love, Luther' are Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Beyonce Knowles. The duets with Sinatra and Knowles are those that have never been released before.

Nancy Sinatra, the daughter of music legend Frank Sinatra, is giving hand at new job, radio DJ. The singer, who is famous during the 60s, has been tapped to host a regular weekly show on the Sirius Satellite Radio Inc station.
The show, dedicated to the music of Frank, is dubbed Siriusly Sinatra. The 24-hour, seven-day-a-week, commercial-free channel, will air recordings spanning the entire spectrum of Frank's career as well as other artists from the big band, swing and traditional pop genres, Sirius announced.

The actress has lent her voice to fiance Michael Bolton's upcoming album, "Bolton Swings Sinatra." While Bolton covers Frank Sinatra's popular tunes, like "That's Life," "My Funny Valentine," "Fly Me to the Moon," "New York, New York" and "Night and Day", Sheridan contributes her voice to the great musician's 1963 hit "The Second Time Around."
The Return of Music Legend Frank Sinatra
October 27, 2005 02:10:00Seven years after his death, music great Frank Sinatra is set for a comeback performance in London. The special show to be held at The London Palladium, beginning in February, will show the singer on stage with live musicians and dancers with the help of modern technology. His performance on screens up to 20 feet high will be accompanied by a live 24-piece orchestra and a company of dancers and singers.
Moreover, the £5m show also will follow Sinatra's life story, featuring songs such as "New York, New York" and "Come Fly With Me." In companion to all, the 1950s film of the singer, which was shot by himself, also will be shown for the first time. Speaking on the project, Sinatra's granddaughter AJ Azzarto commented "I'm delighted to have my grandfather back in London - he loved this place so much."
