He strengthened his acting career by sealing a role in 'Catch That Kid', a movie that marked his transition to a teenager actor. Meanwhile, the brunette also tasted the thrill of theater performance by joining his school's musical productions such as 'Footloose' and 'Grease'. Though not recurring the main roles, he was awarded the school's Theater Student of the Year, an honor that further approved his career choice.

From those musical roles, Corbin started to make his voice more recognizable. In the Discovery Disney series 'Flight 29 Down', he was required to record a song which helped him to savor the studio recording experience. The big break came in summer 2005 when he was cast as Chad Danford in Disney Channel's highly commercial TV movie 'High School Musical'. Immediately after this film hit the screen, all of the cast including Corbin were shot to fame. The film was recorded as Disney's highest rated program by moving 8.2 million of viewers in its debut. throughout November 2006 to January 2007 in a successful jaunt dubbed 'High School Musical: The Concert' that amazingly went sold out in each city. For the next role, Corbin landed the choice to another TV film titled 'Jump In!' (2007). In this one, he became the main character playing a young boxer named Izzy Daniels who was convinced to rope jumping by a girl named Mary played by Keke Palmer. In the same year, he reprized the role as Chad in 'High School Musical 2' and as Nathan in 'Flight 29 Down: The Movie'.

Acting aside, Corbin also promoted debut album 'Another Side' in 2007, a record that boast his writing talent with five out of the 12 tracks being self-written. Taking 'Push It to the Limit' as the first single, he followed it up smoothly with 'Deal With It' and 'She Could Be' while securing more screen roles. In the same year, producers of High School Musical decided to make the third installment of the highly-commercial series.
