A year following her departure from the soap opera, Camila Banus has taken to social media to call out her former castmates for being silent in the face of misconducts on set.

AceShowbiz - In a recent social media post, former "Days of Our Lives" star Camila Banus, known for her 13-year role as Gabi Hernandez, has broken her silence about troubling experiences on the iconic soap's set.

Taking to Instagram Stories on May 15, Banus, 33, did not hold back in her criticism of her former co-stars and the environment she endured. "I will never understand all the people at my previous place of employment that are friends with snakes," wrote the Emmy-nominated actress.

She added, "I remember all, I will continue to remember how those snakes treated me and how others allowed and perpetuated their behavior."

Accompanied by teapot and cup of tea emojis, Banus' message hinted at deeper, unseen issues. She further remarked, "I remember times where everyone just stayed quiet, knowing what was happening was wrong. Men and women."

Banus announced her departure in May 2023, citing significant changes within the show as a signal to move on. "There's definitely been a lot of changes at Days, the last couple of years, one being moving to Peacock," she shared. Her final shoot was on April 28, 2023.

Although initially open to negotiating a more flexible shooting schedule, Banus faced resistance. She explained, "At first, it was just easy to say, 'Well, if you can't meet these demands, then I can't,' and move on with a new contract." Despite subsequent discussions, the show's producers did not accept her terms, prompting her to "respectfully bow out."

The former soap star's revelations come on the heels of another major controversy. Months before, fellow "Days of Our Lives" actress Arianne Zucker filed a lawsuit against Corday Productions and co-executive producers Ken Corday and Albert Alarr, alleging discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation.

Alarr's attorney, in a statement to PEOPLE, rebuffed Zucker's claims, "Her baseless allegations were examined in a detailed and entirely independent investigation that lasted for two months." The attorney reaffirmed that the investigation found no grounds to remove Alarr from his position.

Banus' outspoken post adds another layer to the mounting concerns surrounding the behind-the-scenes environment of the long-running soap. As these stories unfold, fans will be eagerly watching to see the impact on the future of "Days of Our Lives".
