AceShowbiz - Jenelle Evans may now breathe a sigh of relief. The "Teen Mom" alum and her kids reportedly have been granted a six-month domestic violence protective order against her estranged husband, David Eason.
The ruling was made by a North Carolina judge on Thursday, May 16. Per the ruling, David cannot have contact of any kind with the TV personality and her children.
Jenelle's attorney, Brandon Pettijohn, went on to share with The U.S. Sun that David also cannot post about his ex on social media and visit the kids' schools. In addition, he must surrender his firearms.
Jenelle filed for a legal separation from David after six tumultuous years of marriage. The filing, made on February 23 in a North Carolina court, cited David's "erratic" behavior, "substance abuse" issues, and refusal to work as reasons for the split.
In her complaint, Jenelle alleged that David had exhibited disturbing behavior towards her throughout their marriage. They included murdering the family's pet dog, Nugget, in 2019, being charged with misdemeanor child abuse and felony assault by strangulation against her son, Jace, in 2023, engaging in "criminal conversations" with his ex-wife, excessive use of alcohol and refusal to maintain consistent employment and others.
Jenelle and David officially separated on February 16, with the intent that the separation be permanent. David is currently living on their boat docked at a nearby marina while Jenelle has primary physical custody of their daughter, Ensley.
Fans have expressed support for Jenelle's decision to leave a toxic relationship, praising her courage and wishing her well on her new chapter. Jenelle herself has shared a message of appreciation, saying, "I filed for separation. New Chapter Unlocked."
