AceShowbiz - Rebel Wilson, the "Pitch Perfect" star, has doubled down on her claim about "Borat" actor Sacha Baron Cohen, accusing him of being an "a**hole" and attempting to suppress the publication of her memoir.
"Thanks so much to everyone who has sent gorgeous messages of support in the last few days and to those who shared with me their stories of this a**hole!" she wrote on Instagram. "Don't worry I won't be bullied or threatened by this guy! And am working behind the scenes to make sure my book comes out!"
Wilson claims that Baron Cohen behaved badly on the set of their 2016 film "The Brothers Grimsby". She has alleged that the British comedian repeatedly pressured her to perform nude in the movie and made other lewd suggestions.
"Every single day he's like, 'Rebel, can you just go naked in this scene?' And I'm like, 'No!' " Wilson said on an Australian radio show. "He's like, 'Look, I'll just pull down my pants, you just stick your finger up my butt, it'll be a really funny bit.' "
Wilson's memoir, "Rebel Rising," is set to be published on April 2. She has stated that one chapter of the book will focus on her experiences with an unnamed "massive a**hole" she worked with. On March 23, she revealed that the individual was Baron Cohen.
"The 'a**hole' that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen," Wilson wrote on Instagram. "I will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers."
Baron Cohen's spokesperson has denied the allegations, claiming they are contradicted by evidence and eyewitness accounts from the film's production. However, Wilson has maintained that she will not be silenced and that her book will reveal the truth.
The feud began when Wilson first hinted at having a "no-a**hole policy." She later confirmed that she had worked with a "massive a**hole" and that the experience had led her to adopt a stance against working with unpleasant individuals.
