In an astonishing revelation, the 'Thor: Love and Thunder' actor says both he and Liam Hemsworth auditioned for the iconic role in Marvel Cinematic Universe, but not at the same time.

AceShowbiz - Chris Hemsworth, 40, revealed in a recent TikTok video from Vanity Fair that he and his younger brother, Liam Hemsworth, 34, auditioned for the role of "Thor" in the 2011 film. Chris was ultimately cast as the God of Thunder and Avenger from 2011 through 2022, starring alongside Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner.

Liam also auditioned for the role but wasn't concerned about his brother getting cast. "I was told I didn't have the part at that point. So I was excited for him, a little jealous maybe, but I was excited for him," explained Chris. "Then when I was allowed to re-audition, it was when he was out of the picture." While the brothers never directly competed for the role, they were considered at different stages of the audition process.

During the TikTok video, Chris candidly discussed his relationship with Liam's roles. When asked if there was a role of Liam's that he wanted to score for himself, Chris replied with a firm "no." However, the interviewer pressed on, inquiring about Liam's 2010 romantic drama, "The Last Song". Chris initially laughed, saying, "His life would be very different, wouldn't it?" The polygraph examiner deemed his response inconclusive, indicating that he may have harbored some desire to play the role.

The Hemsworth brothers' journey to the Marvel spotlight highlights the competitive nature of the industry and the camaraderie that can exist even within such a competitive environment.
